You can take these few tips and have a Superbowl party that everyone will enjoy and not feel like they are sardines. So let me share with you 5 tips on How to throw a great Superbowl party in a small space.
5 Tips on how to host a Superbowl Party in a small space.
Take the party outside.
If you live in an area that the weather is mild, then move part of the party outside. We have a canopy on our deck and when the weather is nice, we will put the tv outside with a wireless connection and the guys will sit out and watch the game. It is actually a fun way to entertain.
Keep the food simple.
You don’t have to put out 20 different food items for your guest. Limit the selection to maybe 5-6 different food items and 2-3 drink options. This will help with the table set up and you will not need as big of a serving table. You can do a vegetable tray, chips & dips, a sandwich platter, assortment of cookies, & wings. This would be an amazing combination of food. There are so many wonderful recipes for game day food.
The decorations are your guest.
Your home doesn’t have to be decorated to celebrate the Superbowl. Limit your decorations to just maybe a table centerpiece and something hanging on the wall. Balloons and streamers only take up space.
You can plan ahead and have your napkins, plates & cups as decorations as well. This will brighten up the room as people walk around with their food in hand.
Have your guest come dressed in their favorite team colors and your party will be decorated and colorful.
Declutter your home.
Before the party, declutter your home. Take things that don’t really have a place and either box it up and put it away or get rid of it. Old magazines, the 5 blankets on the couch, or the kid’s toy box in the middle of the living room, these are the things that make the house look smaller. These items can be put up for the evening and your space will look bigger.
The mirror that makes you look good.
It is amazing what a mirror will do to a small space. It gives the illusion that space is larger. If you don’t have a mirror on your wall, try it. Mirrors also help the guest relax and not feel like they are sardines in a room.
Hang the mirror on a wall that is not in the walkway of people coming and going. Hang it maybe above a couch, or at the end of the hallway. This will amaze you how it will make the room look and fill larger.
Great NEWS!
The great news is a small home is still a great place to entertain. When entertaining in a small home you just need to think ahead and make sure you have everything in order and well planned. People really do not care how big your house is, they just want to have a good time with you and the community they belong to.
